Semester in Wales
The Semester in Wales program begins with an interdisciplinary three-week course on British life and culture, after which students will enroll in regular courses offered by the university. Particular emphasis is placed on the regional distinctiveness of Wales as part of the United Kingdom. Students typically receive 3 credits for the initial three-week course and 12 credits for coursework for a total of 15 credits. The seven teaching facilities at the University of Swansea provide a wide variety of courses.

Swansea offers a wide variety of courses from 35 departments and schools which cover the arts, business studies, economic and social studies, engineering, health care studies, law and science. Internships for credit are also offered. There are new programs in Screenwriting, Egyptology and War & Society. 2008-09 Program Fee Program fee includes accommodation on the main campus (incl. breakfast), during the pre-sessional module, accommodation in the Student Village on a self catering basis, during the regular term; tuition during the pre-sessional module, inc. of three field trips to places of local and/or historic interest, tuition* during the regular term; bus pass to cover local travel for the duration of the program and program administration.

The main extra cost is for meals during the semester. Additional personal costs include passport, visa, books and supplies, laundry and othr personal items. |

Most forms of financial aid apply. |
| Housing: |
Included in program fee. Meals are not included. |
| Transportation: |
Participants arrange overseas transportation to Swansea on their own. A bus pass for local transportation is included. |
